About the role
Job Description
- Responsible for participating in the Business Requirements Document (BRD) review and Functional Design Document review meetings.
- Ownership of change request and incidents to determine root cause.
- Identification and mitigate various security threats Maintaining internal IT System in adherence with policies and standards
- Play the role of verifier of configuration/architectural changes by other teams
- Responsible for resolving escalated issues and risks with firm mitigation plans and escalate outstanding issues if required
- Responsible for identifying needs for implementing new processes and analyse project trends to improve and optimize existing processes. Ensure both new and existing processes are being-followed.
- Ensuring that all the audits findings are closed within given time and providing proofs (that can be shown to the auditor) to the Bank
- Assisting the design team while designing the architecture for new branches such that all the security best practices are in place from day one.
- Ensuring that all the network devices are configured as per the Bank’s security policy, best practices to ensure Secured Network Architecture.
- Assisting Senior support tiers with project-based configuration and deployment work
- Offsite technical implementation, installation, and configuration of hardware when required
- All the escalations were done by L2 engineers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, processes, and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting, maintenance, and future network enhancements.
- Ownership of change request and incidents to determine root cause

- Assisting Senior support tiers with project based configuration and deployment work
- Well versed with Security skills (Fortinet, Checkpoint cisco FTD Firewalls, IPS).
- Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols like, Advance persistent threats,
- knowledge in Cisco Products (Cisco Firewalls FTD, Router)
- Experience in implementation and management of complex and critical security controls.
- Hands on experience on NAT configuration on firewall.
- Ability to convert and review firewall policies.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and fixing Major Network issues
- Configure and manage Firewalls IPS across the network.
- Work on the vulnerabilities pointed out by various agencies such as OEM, CERT, SOC, ISD, network department / other departments, government agencies
- User Account Management: Configuring user authentication through TACACS or RADIUS servers 9)
- Configuring authentication protocols that are available in Network/server devices OS (like PAP, CHAP and AAA)
- Implementing encrypted password management mechanisms on all supported devices Implementing privilege rights based on user rights for controlled access.
- Ensuring security against asynchronous terminals, such as console terminals and from integrated modem Knowledge on Routing to perform end to end route check.
- Incident Problem Management - Tracking and Co-ordination of all incidents / problems till resolution. Enable workaround to address the probable causes of failure.
- Relevant and proven record of accomplishment in technical, highly innovative environments.
- Network engineers to provide 24x7 network support
- Technical co-ordination with the OEM support in the event of any Technology assistance
. Skills Required
- Hands on experience on Fortinet, IPS, Checkpoint Firewall Cisco FTD.
- Sound knowledge on Security Products Firewall.
§Exceptional problem solving, issue resolution and customer service skills.
§Comfortable working in a highly matrix environment.
- Good communication and presenting skills.
- Motivated and proactive and ready to take more challenges.
- Knowledge of ITIL concepts.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualification should be B.E / B. Tech/ MCA/ BCA/ BSc(IT)/ MSc(IT)
- Minimum 8 years managing Data Center Firewall/IPS Devices
- Certification - CCNP Security or equivalent professional level certification from Fortinet.
- Must have ability to support flexible schedule in support of 7x24 operations.
§Self-motivated, excellent work ethic, goal oriented and strong team player.
§Strong written and oral communication skills.
§Able to work off hours when needed
§Knowledge of ITIL framework.
