Job Details

Job Description

  • Manage, configure, and maintain enterprise proxy solutions (e.g., Blue Coat, Zscaler, Websense, FortiProxy, etc.).

  • Perform L3-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for proxy-related issues.

  • Monitor proxy traffic, generate reports, and fine-tune policies based on security and performance requirements.

  • Work closely with InfoSec, network, and system teams to implement secure web access policies.

  • Conduct regular health checks, upgrades, and patching of proxy appliances/software.

  • Manage integration with Active Directory, SIEM, and firewall systems.

  • Create and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and SOPs.

  • Support incident response and participate in security audits related to web access.

  • Mentor and guide L1/L2 support teams for escalated proxy issues.

Required Skills Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing proxy solutions in enterprise environments.

  • Strong expertise in one or more proxy platforms: Blue Coat/Symantec ProxySG, Zscaler, Websense, Fortinet FortiProxy, Squid, etc.

  • Sound understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, SSL inspection.

  • Experience with authentication methods (LDAP, NTLM, Kerberos) and integration with AD.

  • Familiarity with security compliance standards (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, etc.).

  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for automation is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Professional certifications like CCNP Security, Zscaler Certified, Fortinet NSE, Blue Coat Certified Proxy Professional (BCCPP) are preferred.
