Why we need this role

  • Manage and maintain the fibre network infrastructure in accordance with fibre engineering standards, ensuring network reliability, performance, and service availability.
  • Develop, design, and implement new network infrastructure, services, capacity expansions, and supporting documentation to meet business requirements, while supporting customer network rollout and strategic network initiatives**.**

What you will do

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and control construction, fiber installation, splicing activities within the local network, and in-building cabling works at customer sites.
  • Manage and oversee in-building fiber cabling projects at customer sites, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for the local fiber network infrastructure.
  • Conduct quality inspections of subcontractor work and ensure compliance with Colt standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Facilitate site acceptance processes with local authorities, building owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including site survey reports, as-built drawings, photographs, and project records.
  • Review and validate subcontractor Bills of Quantity (BOQ), work completion reports, and related project documentation.
  • Perform site surveys and feasibility assessments for new fibre installations, expansions, and network upgrades.
  • Monitor third-party construction and civil works activities to identify and mitigate potential risks to Colt's fiber infrastructure.
  • Ensure all construction and installation activities comply with local regulations, safety requirements, and industry standards.
  • Support fault management and service restoration activities, including participation in on-call duties when required.
  • Use geospatial mapping, network planning tools, and CAD systems to support network design and route planning.
  • Perform administrative and reporting tasks related to project execution and network operations.
  • Identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Drive network optimization and process enhancement projects through innovative solutions, automation, and best practices.

What we're looking for

  • Business level English skill
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with Construction/Supervision Management
  • GIS experience
  • Construction and splicing knowledge
  • Strong communication skill (communicates effectively and presents complex, technical information to a variety of audiences)
