About the role
Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Testing:
-
Design, prepare, and execute functional, regression, integration, API, system, and end-to-end test cases.
-
Review business requirements, technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios and coverage gaps.

Validate microservices, RESTful APIs, batch jobs, messaging flows, and system integrations.
-
Perform defect analysis, raise clear and detailed bug reports, and work with delivery teams through resolution and retesting.

Support release validation, production verification, and post-deployment quality checks.

Test Automation and CI/CD:
-
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API, regression, and integration testing.
-
Support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins.
-
Work with tools and frameworks used for test execution, reporting, and defect tracking.
-
Contribute to improving test automation coverage, reliability, and maintainability.
-
Platform and Technical Validation:
-
Test services deployed on OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
-
Validate application behavior across deployment, configuration, upgrade, rollback, and recovery scenarios.
-
Monitor and analyze logs, alerts, and system behavior during testing and production issue investigation.
-
Support testing of security vulnerability fixes, disaster recovery exercises, and operational readiness activities.

Collaboration and Quality Governance:

Work closely with development, DevOps, operations, and business teams to ensure quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, release readiness reviews, and sprint ceremonies.

Provide clear testing status, risks, blockers, and quality recommendations to stakeholders.
-
Support production incidents by validating fixes, reproducing issues, and documenting findings.

Knowledge Management and Documentation:
-
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test evidence, defect reports, release validation summaries, and QA sign-off documents.

Write clear technical and functional documentation that can be understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Maintain QA knowledge materials, testing checklists, operational runbooks, and known issue documentation.
-
Demonstrate strong comprehension skills when interpreting requirements, API specifications, architecture documents, logs, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in QA, software testing, or quality engineering.
- Strong experience in functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, API testing, and defect management.
- Experience testing Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, and enterprise integration flows.
- Familiarity with Apache Camel, messaging systems such as Red Hat AMQ, and enterprise integration patterns is an advantage.
- Experience with test automation tools and API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and version control tools such as Git.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift environments.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including the ability to validate data and investigate defects through queries.
- Comfortable with Linux commands, log analysis, basic networking concepts, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and defect investigation skills.
- Excellent writing, comprehension, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to write clear test cases, defect reports, test summaries, and stakeholder updates.
- Ability to understand complex requirements, technical documents, API specifications, and production issues with minimal supervision.
