| | | | | --- | --- | --- | | Goals | | Job Responsibilities:<br>- Lead the preparation and delivery of high-quality responses to customer requests for proposals (RFPs), estimates, and information, with a specific focus on Control Systems (DCS, Safety Systems, and PLC) for both global and domestic markets.<br>- Ensuring alignment with sales and operations goals across PAS (Green Field) and LSS (Brown Field/Migrations/Upgrades) segments for global and India domestic business.<br>- Deliver Accurate, professional proposals that exceed customer expectations, and continuously innovate to enhance the proposal development process.<br>- Efficiently leverage advanced systems, tools, and methodologies to manage estimates, proposals, customer requests, responses, and supporting documentation with accuracy and transparency.<br>- Maintain a strong track record of proposal success through the application of experience, strategic insights, and effective use of available resources.<br>- Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality proposals and estimates while promoting collaboration and excellence.<br>Desired Skills and Competencies:<br>- Expertise in proposal processes with a thorough understanding of industry best practices.<br>- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver impactful results.<br>- Proficiency in relevant tools and systems for proposal management and documentation.<br>- Ability to adapt to dynamic customer requirements and deliver tailored solutions.<br>- Strong interpersonal skills.<br>. | | Organization: HPS | Geography: Global/India Domestic | Function: Proposal & Estimation | | Key Deliverables | | - Proposals and estimates are captured within CPQ, as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).<br>- Complete cost estimates and proposals within the required time.<br>- Accurate portrayal of costs in the form of cost estimates.<br>- Propose technical and / or commercial alternatives that enable the lowest compliant bid while providing the highest value to the customer.<br>- Through experience and by utilizing the resources of the designated team, the Lead Proposal Engineer should coordinate packages from 3rd party vendors and other internal Honeywell organizations. | | Responsibilities | | - Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures.<br>- Study RFQ and other documents / drawings supplied by customer and propose, or seek a consultant led solution which fits technical & commercial requirements.<br>- Estimate PAS/LSS equipment and services using the relevant tools.<br>- Identify 3rd party Packages / Equipment / Buyout items and engage Procurement to obtain sub-vendor Technical and Commercial offers.<br>- Identify Packages / Equipment from other Business Units, i.e. Advanced Solutions, Building Solutions, etc. and engage the proper BU to obtain Technical and Commercial offers.<br>- Working with Procurement, Evaluate the Technical and Commercial Offers received from Third Party Vendors and Honeywell Business Units.<br>- Complete a full proposal with the required scope of supply/documents<br>- Respond to post-proposal technical quires/clarifications and update the proposal, if necessary.<br>- Prepare booking package as per the SOPs when project is awarded.<br>- Be a collaboration agent, lead efforts for sharing and standardizing of best practices.<br>- Continuously develop knowledge of new product/releases of Honeywell portfolio.<br>- Ensure that a Proposal Plan is prepared as per the SOP’s, which should also include all resources, responsibilities, deliverables and dates, for all proposal team members.<br>- Lead a proposal team to deliver large proposals for multiple clients, often in multiple countries. |

Qualifications

Able to propose alternative solutions, inside and outside the Honeywell scope of supply.<br>- Fluent in oral and written English.<br>- Should be able to work with others in a team environment. A true team player. | - An Engineering degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical<br>- Good understanding of DCS, Safety System, PLC, RTU etc.<br>- A good knowledge of Honeywell portfolio will be an added advantage.<br>- A well developed sense of the customer's business and their requirements.<br>- Understands the unique value proposition of Honeywell's offering.<br>- Good knowledge of various control system solutions, value propositions. | - 9 - 14 years process automation and / or solutions experience.<br>- Industrial application experience.<br>- Team leadership and / or project management experience is beneficial.<br>- Experience in delivering complete Proposals. |
