About the role

About Goodman

At Goodman, your career is more than just a job – it’s about growth, innovation, and making a lasting impact. Whether you’re building your career in property, data centres, finance, legal, or beyond, we value diverse perspectives and seek individuals who are passionate about driving our business forward.

As providers of essential infrastructure for the digital economy, Goodman has been developing its data centre capability since 2005. Since then, we have grown to become a large owner of powered sites globally. Our global power bank of 5.0GW includes completed facilities, secured power and potential data centre projects across 13 major international cities. This has been built up over time through our expertise in securing land, planning and power in highly sought after locations in major global cities.

As our data centre platform continues to grow, we are looking for a Procurement Manager to support the delivery of critical projects through strong commercial discipline, supplier engagement and end-to-end procurement execution.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement – Data Centres, this role will manage procurement activity across major data centre projects, covering long-lead equipment, specialist systems, supplier negotiations, contract placement and delivery risk. It is a hands-on role with real influence over cost, schedule, quality and supply chain outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle across major data centre projects, from sourcing strategy, supplier prequalification and tender preparation through to commercial evaluation, negotiation, contract award and post-award administration.

  • Develop and execute procurement and category strategies for critical data centre packages, including electrical infrastructure, mechanical plant, controls, BMS/EPMS, specialist systems and other long-lead equipment.

  • Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, tender clarifications, bid evaluations and recommendation papers, ensuring clear commercial analysis and alignment with project, technical and governance requirements.

  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure strong commercial outcomes while balancing cost, quality, programme, technical performance, risk allocation and long-term operational requirements.

  • Source, track and expedite long-lead equipment and critical materials, working closely with project delivery, engineering, design and operations teams to protect programme certainty.

  • Build and manage strategic supplier, contractor and consultant relationships, including supplier performance reviews, issue resolution, market engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide procurement insight on spend, market conditions, supply chain constraints, cost movements and delivery risks to support informed decision-making across the data centre portfolio.

  • Support cost optimisation, total cost of ownership analysis, lifecycle cost considerations, value engineering and identification of commercial opportunities across key packages.

  • Maintain strong procurement governance, ensuring accurate documentation, approvals, reporting, compliance with delegation requirements and alignment with Goodman’s procurement standards.

  • What you’ll bring

  • Significant procurement, contract management and supply chain experience gained in complex project environments such as data centres, large-scale construction, infrastructure, energy, utilities or critical facilities.

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end procurement for major CAPEX projects, including supplier prequalification, RFQ/RFP processes, commercial evaluation, negotiation, contract award and post-award administration.

  • Strong exposure to technical procurement packages such as electrical infrastructure, mechanical plant, switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, controls, BMS/EPMS or other specialist building services equipment.

  • Experience sourcing and expediting long-lead equipment, managing supplier performance and mitigating supply chain risks in schedule-driven project environments.

  • Confidence working with technical stakeholders across project delivery, engineering, design, commercial, construction and operations teams.

  • Commercial strength across total cost of ownership, lifecycle cost, value engineering, contract terms, procurement governance and supplier market analysis.

  • A practical, collaborative style and the judgement to balance cost, quality, risk, programme and long-term operational outcomes.
