About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain instrumentation systems that ensure accurate measurement, control, and automation of production parameters in the copper manufacturing process.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of instrumentation-related issues to minimize downtime and enhance plant reliability.
  • Plan and supervise preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for instrumentation equipment such as sensors, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and PLC/DCS interfaces.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality control, and safety teams to ensure instrumentation compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Execute calibration procedures and maintain records to guarantee optimal performance and traceability of instrumentation devices.
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities for new instrumentation installations or upgrades, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Analyze instrumentation data and generate reports to assist in process optimization, energy efficiency initiatives, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Mentor and guide junior instrumentation engineers and technicians, fostering knowledge sharing and skills development within the team.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects focused on instrumentation reliability, accuracy, and automation to support Adani’s sustainability and innovation goals.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of emerging instrumentation technologies and industry best practices, recommending their adoption where beneficial.
  • Ensure adherence to Adani’s safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness in all instrumentation activities.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external service providers for specialized instrumentation maintenance and calibration tasks.
  • Contribute to documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training programs related to instrumentation systems.
  • Participate actively in internal and external audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement

Qualifications

  • B.E/B,Tech Instrumentation / E&I / C&I or related field

  • Over 2 years of progressive experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably within the copper manufacturing or heavy process industry

  • Proficient in the design, installation, and maintenance of industrial instrumentation systems specific to copper manufacturing processes
