Service Engineer (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

Key Responsibilities

  • Job location to be based primarily around Klang Valley, Malaysia.
  • To perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of STULZ climate control systems at customer sites.
  • To always carry out work to the highest possible standard in line with STULZ policy & procedures and industry-recognized best practices, even after standard office hours if required.
  • To conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure the highest system performance and reliability.
  • To conduct thorough inspections and functional tests to validate system performance and compliance with specifications.
  • To diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to HVAC systems, electrical components, controls, and networking.
  • To perform system troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve any issues during the commissioning phase.
  • To collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of STULZ products with customer infrastructure.
  • To generate comprehensive commissioning reports, documenting system performance, test results, and recommendations for improvements.
  • To provide on-site training to customers/colleagues on system operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
  • To prepare accurate and timely service reports, documentation, and spare parts requests.
  • To ensure scheduled works are always completed safely and efficiently with minimum call back and warranty expense.
  • During day-to-day work in the field, to actively identify and promote new/additional services, parts and products to our customers and provide feedback, either verbally or via your service reporting of potential opportunities to the relevant person in the service office.
  • To ensure and maintain service vehicle and any other tools and/or equipment assigned to you in optimal condition.
  • To ensure the continued and sustainable growth of our maintenance base through customer relationship building with new and existing customers.
  • To ensure the highest standard of safety is always maintained at any job site, including but not limited to STULZ staff.
  • Contribute to process improvements, sharing feedback and insights from commissioning experiences.

Education / Experience

  • NTC /Diploma in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in servicing and troubleshooting HVAC systems, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, and controls.
  • Familiarity with STULZ climate control systems or similar products is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Proactive attitude, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
