About the role
Responsibilities
Performs a variety of thermal analysis on refrigeration and airflow systems and components using simulation tools as well as empirical calculations.
Creates and evaluates thermal designs for components like heat exchangers, flow valves, compression systems, airflow components like fans and blowers
Should be able to work on new heat exchanger designs for new low GWP refrigerants, understands and analyze the boiling and condensation heat transfer for two phase fluids and its characterization on different types of heat exchangers.
Performs calculation on cycle balancing of components using empirical methods and simulation tools to optimize the system.
Able to perform heat exchanger design and analysis using LMTD, NTU method in shell and tube as well as in extended surfaces.
Have good knowledge on radiation heat transfer as well as mass transfer calculations like evaporative cooling and diffusion mass transfer
Qualifications
1.M.E, / M.Tech or PhD – Thermal Engineering
- Or *B.E with Thermal Background experience from HVAC industry

Elective or Thesis on refrigeration systems desirable.

Certification from societies like ASME, TEMA

Certifications by refrigeration forums and societies of HVAC & R is desirable.
