About the role
Responsibilities

- Own the training delivery strategy, annual training calendar, governance framework, and capability roadmap for ports and logistics operations across assigned regions.
- Lead the delivery of technical, operational, safety, compliance, supervisory, and leadership training programs for frontline workforce, technicians, operators, supervisors, and management personnel.
- Drive capability development across cargo handling, terminal operations, marine activities, warehousing, logistics, equipment operation, maintenance, and operational excellence domains.
- Establish competency frameworks, certification pathways, training standards, assessment systems, and refresher training mechanisms for all critical roles.
- Manage training centers, simulators, laboratories, practical learning infrastructure, and deployment resources across locations.
- Build, mentor, and manage a cadre of internal trainers, SMEs, external faculty, and partner agencies to ensure training quality and scalability.
- Partner closely with Business Heads, Operations Leaders, HR, Safety, Maintenance, and Functional Excellence teams to align capability-building initiatives with business priorities.
- Ensure training effectiveness through assessments, workplace observations, operational KPIs, certification compliance, and post-training performance tracking.
- Lead deployment planning, trainer allocation, budget utilization, training audits, governance reviews, and stakeholder reporting.
- Drive standardization of content, delivery methodology, competency assessments, and reporting systems across all assigned locations.
- Identify future capability requirements emerging from automation, digitalization, new equipment deployment, and business expansion projects.
- Represent Adani Skills & Education in capability-building discussions with OEMs, industry bodies, technology partners, regulators, and external institutions.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline.
- MBA, PGDM, M.Tech., Maritime Management, Port Management, or related postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Ports, Logistics, Maritime Operations, Terminal Operations, Heavy Equipment Operations, Industrial Operations, or Technical Capability Development.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale workforce capability-building, technical training, competency development, or learning operations.
- Strong exposure to cargo handling systems, port operations, terminal processes, safety management, workforce productivity, and operational excellence practices.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-location training delivery, large trainer pools, certification systems, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in competency mapping, capability frameworks, training governance, assessment architecture, and performance measurement.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, program management, communication, and execution capabilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned port locations outside Gujarat.
