Senior Solutions Architect (Network and 5G)

Job Description
- Partner with large deal pursue team and Account Teams to shape account strategies and build pipeline through a consultative selling approach, supporting strategic pursuits and new customer acquisition.
- Lead customer discovery and architecture workshops; translate business, technical, operational and service requirements into end-to-end network architectures, defined scope, assumptions and measurable outcomes.
- Act as the design authority for complex solutions covering campus and data centre networking, wired and wireless networks, routing and switching, WAN/SD-WAN, application delivery and managed network services.
- Architect telco connectivity solutions across internet, DIA, MPLS/IP VPN, Ethernet and local or international connectivity, addressing bandwidth, latency, QoS, carrier and access diversity, last-mile resilience, failover and SLA requirements.
- Apply network security by design, including segmentation, NGFW/firewall, IPS/IDS, NAC, secure remote access, SASE/ZTNA, DDoS protection, secure management and traffic visibility.
- Evaluate architecture options and technology choices based on performance, availability, scalability, interoperability, operational supportability, commercial viability and risk, while maintaining vendor-neutral judgement.
- Own the technical solution package, including reference architecture, high-level design, bill of materials, compliance responses, statement of work, assumptions, dependencies, risks, customer presentations and proof-of-concept approach.
- Lead technical workstreams for complex bids and architecture reviews, coordinating specialists, product teams, delivery, operations and technology partners to ensure the solution is complete, deliverable and aligned with customer outcomes.
- Provide technical input to pricing, licensing and total-cost-of-ownership considerations, and ensure alignment among the architecture, service model, implementation schedule, SLA and contractual commitments.
- Lead the transition from presales to delivery and provide architecture assurance during implementation, reviewing major design changes and governing deviations from the approved solution.
- Coach and mentor network presales consultants and engineers through discovery, design and proposal reviews, opportunity support and structured knowledge sharing.
- Lead internal initiatives to develop reusable network offerings, reference architectures, design standards, playbooks and enablement materials, and monitor relevant market and technology developments. *
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, with at least 12 years of relevant ICT experience and substantial experience in network presales, solution architecture or technical consulting.
- Demonstrated experience acting as the technical authority for complex, multi-site and multi-technology network solutions, including leadership of strategic bids and cross-functional solution teams.
- Strong architectural knowledge of campus and data centre networking, wired and wireless networks, routing and switching, WAN/SD-WAN, application delivery, network automation, network observability and managed network services.
- Have experience in telco connectivity design, including internet/DIA, MPLS/IP VPN, Ethernet, local and international connectivity, access selection, carrier diversity, bandwidth and QoS planning, latency, resilience and SLA considerations.
- Strong understanding of network security architecture, including segmentation, NGFW, IPS/IDS, NAC, secure remote access, SASE/ZTNA, DDoS protection and secure network management.
- Ability to define and evaluate non-functional requirements covering availability, resilience, scalability, performance, interoperability, operability, observability and supportability.
- Sound solutioning knowledge of major networking platforms such as Cisco, Huawei, Aruba, Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, F5 and Arista, or equivalent technologies; depth in selected platforms and vendor-neutral judgement are expected.
- Strong capability in high-level design, proposal development, bill-of-materials building and validation, statement-of-work definition, risk and dependency management, proof-of-concept planning and commercial solutioning.
- Proven ability to coach and develop technical professionals, lead initiatives without relying solely on formal authority, and influence senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Relevant professional certification such as CCIE, HCIE, Aruba ACE, PCNSE or equivalent is preferred.
- Exposure to private 5G and 5G integration with enterprise networks is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple strategic pursuits in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
