Your role at a glance

The Associate IT Operations Analyst supports the daily operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and data center systems by monitoring system performance, troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues, and assisting with installations and preventive maintenance. The role ensures IT services meet operational standards and service level agreements while maintaining system security, access controls, and accurate documentation. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the position contributes to infrastructure projects, process improvements, and vendor coordination. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to develop technical expertise in data center operations.

What we are looking for

Key Responsibilities

Supports day-to-day IT operations by following established operational processes and ensuring IT services meet defined service level agreements (SLAs).

Provides first-level technical support for computer and IT data center operations, including basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Assists with the installation, configuration, repair, and preventive maintenance of computer systems and related IT equipment.

Monitors and records system performance, availability, and utilization metrics, escalating issues where appropriate.

Assists in identifying operational issues and opportunities for process improvements under the guidance of senior team members.

Supports the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure projects and operational activities.

Maintains access control, data integrity, and file system security in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Documents incidents, service requests, maintenance activities, and operational procedures accurately and in a timely manner.

Coordinates with internal teams and vendors to support routine operational and maintenance activities.

Performs any other duties as assigned by the IT Operations management team. Knowledge and Attributes Basic understanding of data center operations, IT infrastructure, and supporting technologies.

Basic knowledge of servers, operating systems, networking, storage, and hardware components.

Ability to monitor system performance and identify basic operational issues for escalation.

Willingness to learn IT operational processes, tools, and best practices.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot routine technical issues.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Academic Qualifications and Certifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

ITIL Foundation certification is advantageous.

Additional certifications such as CNET, CDCDP, or other relevant technical certifications are desirable. Required Experience Entry-level experience in IT operations, service desk, technical support, or data center operations is preferred.

Basic understanding of data center applications, servers, hardware, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.

Exposure to IT operations, system monitoring, or infrastructure support through internships, projects, or relevant work experience is an advantage.

Demonstrates willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge in data center operations and IT infrastructure support.
