About the role

Every day, millions of Australians connect, work, stream, and stay in touch on the Optus network. When it works seamlessly, it's easy to take for granted. But behind it is a team making thousands of decisions every day - decisions that keep people, businesses and communities connected.
Right now, Optus is passionate about getting the fundamentals right - simplifying how we work, lifting standards, and building a more reliable, resilient experience for our customers. It's not about surface-level change. It's about how we make decisions, how we work together, and how we deliver.
The OSS IT Integration Lead provides strategic leadership, governance, and long-term management of IT integration capabilities across Optus's shared OSS services, ensuring seamless connectivity between Field Services, Network Inventory, and CMDB platforms. Acting as the senior technical authority, the role defines integration architecture, roadmaps, and governance frameworks while leading vendor partnerships and influencing engineering, IT, operations, and senior stakeholders to support Optus's evolving network and IT landscape.
Your day to day will consist of
- Provide strategic leadership for OSS IT Integration programs, overseeing delivery, governance, budgets, quality outcomes, and stakeholder engagement across Field Services, Network Inventory, and CMDB platforms.
- Define and own the long-term IT Integration roadmap, driving platform evolution, interoperability, and alignment with Optus's network and IT transformation objectives.
- Lead senior vendor relationships, commercial governance, contract performance, and technology partnerships to maximise value, innovation, and delivery outcomes.
- Establish and govern integration architecture, API standards, middleware frameworks, and data exchange models to ensure reliable OSS and BSS connectivity.
- Translate integration performance and operational outcomes into strategic recommendations that improve interoperability, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
- Build and lead a high-performing integration team, fostering technical excellence, stakeholder influence, and support for Optus's broader network and IT transformation agenda.
