Perimeter WAF Security Engineer - L2

Job Description

The leading security organization, Tata Communications Limited, has an immediate job opportunity for Perimeter Security Engineer and the position is required for one of its important customers.

The role defines the ability to handle L2 level tickets of WAF devices, this includes troubleshooting of security incidents to controls the impact also new service request from the customer.

The roles need ability to work independently while handling multiple client incidents, projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead the technical management or troubleshooting on WAF/ASM (F5/Array/FortiWAF).

. The WAF capabilities should comprise ASM module, and a basic understanding of LTM module is required.

Implement project/change and troubleshoot incidents on WAF solutions such as F5.

Adherence to ITIL service management framework.

. Updates of attack signatures and monitoring.

. Understanding & experience of OWASP top 10 security best practices.

. Understanding of HTTP & FTP protocols is required.

. Knowledge & understanding of SSL/TLS is required.

Monitor/manage the customer perimeter security infrastructure as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with minimal escalations.

Vulnerability Management of the managed infrastructure with appropriate remediation.

Apply investigation techniques to document root cause and impact of detected computer security incidents.

Performs or assists with IT security assessments or audits of internal and external networks and systems under the direction of the IT Security management. Document findings in written reports with recommendations for remediation.

Assists with the development and documentation of an overall IT Security architecture to assure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company IT assets.

Develops and maintains good communications and working relationships with teams and external clients.

Experience/Skill/Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in computer science or related IT field.

5+ years Network security administration, network security administration with security responsibilities.

Good work experience on F5/Array/FortiWAF solutions.

Professional certification in ASM module is desirable (F5/Array/FortiWAF).

Able to communicate with technical staff/management.

Able to work on flexible 24/7 shifts.

Ability to adapt and follow the processes and guidelines.

Possess an impeccable work ethics and a high degree of integrity.
