About the role
IT Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects focused on construction, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) integration, project management software (e.g., SAP or Oracle), and real-time data analytics tools.
- Coordinate the implementation of IT systems for construction project monitoring, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost tracking.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with construction timelines, safety standards, and airport regulations.
Construction IT Systems:
- Ensure that technology solutions, such as BIM, are effectively integrated with airport construction activities to enhance project collaboration and improve efficiency.
- Oversee the deployment of IT systems that support digital twins, GIS mapping, construction automation tools, data centers, network architecture, communication systems and compliance with aviation and construction standards.
- Manage the installation of network infrastructure, including fiber optics, IoT sensors, and wireless systems to support real-time project tracking and remote monitoring.
- Collaborate with airport operations to provide operational support for critical 24/7 airport functions related to construction projects.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with the construction and IT teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to deliver IT projects that support the airport's construction activities.
- Act as a liaison between the IT department and construction stakeholders to ensure technology meets project requirements and adheres to regulatory compliance.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify potential IT risks related to construction projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that all IT systems used in construction meet industry standards and aviation regulations (e.g., ICAO, IATA) and comply with cybersecurity and data protection protocols.
- Address health and safety concerns by ensuring that IT systems are designed to support safe construction practices.
Budget and Financial Oversight:
- Oversee the IT project budget specific to construction, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and technology investments.
- Provide financial forecasts and reports on project IT expenditures to senior management.
Vendor and Contract Management:
- Negotiate and manage relationships with IT vendors, ensuring the delivery of quality services and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Oversee the procurement of IT systems and services, ensuring alignment with the airport's long-term technology roadmap.
Digital Mindset:
- Drive the adoption of innovative digital technologies like BIM, IoT, and data analytics to enhance efficiency in construction projects.
- Stay updated with emerging construction technologies to improve efficiency and ensure airport infrastructure is built using advanced IT solutions.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor team members by providing constructive feedback, helping them develop their technical and project management skills.
- Develop a pipeline of talent within the team to ensure continuity in IT projects.
- Actively engage the team by promoting a positive work culture and recognizing individual and collective achievements.

Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Electronics/Instrumentation or a related field.
- A Master’s degree in IT or Project Management, or relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
Work Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in IT project management, with specific experience in managing IT systems for large-scale infrastructure or construction projects with minimum 5 years experience in airports.
