About the role

The Territory Manager – Sales (Specification) will be responsible for expanding IN‑NOVATEUR ELECTRICAL & DIGITAL SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED's market share by influencing project specifications in the L7 – IN – LEGRAND – Specification department. You will work closely with architects, consultants, and design teams to incorporate LEGRAND solutions into new construction and retrofit projects, ensuring technical excellence and commercial success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan focused on specification-driven opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, consultants, and design engineers.
  • Promote LEGRAND product specifications during project design phases and tender processes.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops for design teams.
  • Prepare and submit competitive proposals, quotations, and specification documents.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for specification-based revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, marketing, and supply‑chain teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide post‑sale technical support and resolve specification‑related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, forecasts, and customer interactions in the CRM system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in electrical or digital systems, preferably with specification‑driven sales.
  • Proven track record of influencing project specifications and winning design‑stage contracts.
  • Established network of architects, consultants, and design professionals in the assigned territory.
  • Strong knowledge of LEGRAND product portfolio and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time within the territory.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
