About the role
Strategic Safety Planning:
Develop and enforce safety management systems, policies, procedures, and programs focusing on preventive measures and proactive risk assessments ensuring a safe working environment across all projects.
Align safety initiatives with organizational goals, ensuring that safety practices are continuously optimized for evolving project needs.
Budget Management:
Manage the safety budget, ensuring that resources for safety initiatives, training, and equipment are allocated effectively.
Implement cost-effective safety solutions without compromising safety standards, ensuring optimal use of financial resources.
Project Safety Monitoring:
Conduct regular safety audits and site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Implement real-time safety tracking systems to monitor safety metrics and drive corrective actions promptly.
Provide specialized safety input to engineering, construction, and contracts, thus ensuring that safety requirements are properly integrated into project planning, design criteria, construction plans and specifications and contracts
Ensure a robust construction safety framework is in place by defining Health & Safety minimum requirements during pre-sanction phase, pre-construction phase, construction phase of construction projects
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations and standards.
Engage with regulatory bodies and ensure that all safety documentation is up to date, accurate, and accessible.
Incident Management and Reporting:
Lead investigations for any safety-related incidents, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and preventive action plans.
Utilize digital tools for incident reporting, enabling real-time tracking, data collection, and reporting automation.
Risk Assessment:
Identify and mitigate potential project risks through thorough analysis and preventive measures.
Review and approve project-specific safety plans.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external safety organizations
Communicate safety performance metrics and initiatives to senior management and stakeholders
Team Leadership and Development:
Mentor and train the safety team, fostering a strong safety culture across all project teams.
Implement training programs on digital safety tools and advanced safety management techniques for continuous skill development.
Digital Insights in Safety Management:
Leverage digital platforms, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and IoT-based safety monitoring tools, to enhance real-time risk identification and management.
Integrate AI-driven predictive analytics to foresee potential safety risks and optimize safety decision-making.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging safety technologies to continuously improve safety performance

Qualifications
Education Qualification:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. Safety certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are mandatory.
Work Experience:
18+ years of experience in project safety management, with a focus on large-scale civil construction projects. Familiarity with digital safety tools and experience in the airport is preferred.
Certification Required:
NEBOSH Certification in OHSAS/Health & Safety
American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP)/National Safety Council (NSC)/ISO 45001/14001 Certifications
