Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer - ViewQwest, Singapore
ViewQwest is a Singapore-headquartered service provider delivering connectivity, managed network, and security services across Southeast Asia. Our Managed Services team supports enterprise customers in sectors including finance, healthcare, and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network and infrastructure systems 24/7, identifying and responding to alerts and incidents
- Perform first-level troubleshooting and escalation for network, security, and infrastructure issues
- Coordinate with field engineers, vendors, and carriers for incident resolution
- Maintain accurate incident records, logs, and documentation in the ticketing system
- Execute routine maintenance tasks, system health checks, and backup monitoring
- Support network provisioning, configuration changes, and service activations
- Ensure compliance with SLA requirements and escalation procedures
- Collaborate with Level 2 and Level 3 engineering teams for complex issue resolution
- Contribute to continuous improvement of NOC processes, runbooks, and automation
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience in network operations, managed services, or NOC environment
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, VPN)
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems
- Understanding of security principles and incident response procedures
- Ability to work in 24/7 shift rotation environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, Network+, ITIL Foundation) are advantageous
