Senior Director, Data Center Delivery & Construction - Vantage Data Centers, Cyberjaya, Malaysia
A leading data center solutions company in Cyberjaya, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Director of Development Delivery. This role involves overseeing the entire data center construction process, managing multiple projects and teams, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire data center construction process from inception to handover
- Manage multiple concurrent data center construction projects across the APAC region
- Lead and manage project teams including construction managers, project managers, and contractors
- Ensure alignment with corporate objectives, timelines, and budget constraints
- Drive construction strategy and standards across the regional portfolio
- Oversee contractor selection, procurement, and vendor management
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Coordinate with design, engineering, operations, and commercial teams
- Manage construction risk identification and mitigation
- Report project status, risks, and financials to executive leadership
- Drive continuous improvement of construction processes and methodologies
- Support business development and pre-construction planning activities
Requirements
- Extensive experience in construction management within the data center industry
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale mission-critical construction projects
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects across a regional portfolio
- Deep understanding of data center construction standards and best practices
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Professional certifications (PMP, RICS) preferred
